Our Background

Dublin Crystal Glass Limited was established in 1968. Edward F. Taylor, the father of present managing director of the company, set about reviving the tradition of fine crystal in Dublin. Edward, alongside his wife Rosaleen F. Taylor, and Pierce Keaveney started Dublin Crystal on May 13th, 1968. Martin Taylor took over as Managing Director in 1982 after the death of Edward. The company has grown steadily for over 50 years since its incorporation and has gradually built a reputation for quality crystal and fine engraving which is second to none in the country.

Dublin Crystal is proud to have the historical background it does as we have presented pieces to the Mansion House in Dublin and the Irish Government. Not to forget our long-standing bonds with providing awards to schools and clubs around the country.

Our Dundrum Showroom

Dublin Crystal is now based in Dundrum, County Dublin, Ireland. The company has come a long way since being set up in 1968 and the company celebrated it’s 50th anniversary in business last year. Throughout the years, we have prided ourselves in providing excellent customer service and having very loyal returning customers.

The range in our showroom in Dundrum comprises of tableware, stemware, giftware and lighting.  A lot of the range can be engraved.  This process is a speciality of the company and we can reproduce virtually any logo, crest, photograph, signature or personal message.

Engraving

The business has been able to keep ahead of other glass and crystal engravers by constantly learning and using new engraving techniques. Our crystal engraving varies from sand-blast engraving to sub-surface laser engraving to our latest surface laser engraving which is twice as fast as sand-blasting.

Crystal and Glass Repairs

We also offer crystal and glass repairs on chipped glasses, broken pieces of crystal and sometimes cracks. We can also remove most engraving from old trophies to inherited crystal collections. See our video about how we repair chipped glasses here.
